This is the deal. I am the single mother of 3 beautiful, bright kids who deserve more in life than I am currently able to provide for them. I work full time, am an A college student (4 classes from a BS online), and the sole caretaker and main provider for my children. Despite my constant efforts to improve our lives and daily hard work I am still barely making my mortgage, have been unable to get my car repaired and barely keep food on the table some weeks. My kids need new summer clothes and new shoes. Im looking for an opportunity to clear some debt and be able to provide more for my children.
My name is Karen. I no longer wish to keep my last name as it belonged to my exhusband with whom I have been divorced quite a time now. I havent seen or spoken to my father in over 10 years and do not wish to take his last name back... And so your opportunity to advertise your buisness has come to fruition!
For the winner of this auction, I will legally change my last name to the name of your choice. I will keep the name you choose for a term of no less than a year per grand, with a starting figure of 10,000 and a time period of 10 years. I will use your choice actively every day. This is a chance for a great amount of publicity. For your buisness there will be a surge of philanthropic publicity, followed by at least 10 years of people talking about it every time I fill out a form or show my ID. There were in excess of 2300 views of this auction when the originaly got pulled. If each of those people told only one person a piece, who told one person, who told one person.. invaluable advertising! The same concept would apply to every form I fill out, every time I give my name, etc. In addition you will be helping 3 beautiful, smart children! What could be better?
As a side note.. this is the second listing of this auction. For those of you that were watching it, I made a reference I shouldnt have made in the last one and Ebay pulled it. /sigh
Part of the terms of this auction is the fact that the name you choose, as the winner can not contain anything discrimatory, illegal or obsene. Also, this is only for my name, not my childrens.
I decided to post more about me, in order to show that I will not negatively impact anyones business.
I got married at 18 after knowing my exhusband 2 months. Full of dreams and romance and happily ever after, I dropped college to stay at home. Unfortunately things didnt work out. After we seperated I worked fast food for precisely 10 months while living in public housing. One day, cleaning a table, I ran across a newspaper advertising a local college. I t hought, "OK, well thats enough of this!" I enrolled in that college that day after work. I completed a duel AS in microcomputer specialist (which means I can take a pc apart, put it together and operate about anything on it) and Networking. I gained 2 MCPs and the Net + certification before I ran out of money for certs. The day after the graduation ceremony, I packed up the kids and moved back to my home state. This is my fifth calender year with a company I love providing second level tech support. I am attending college online and almost have my BS in Computer Technology. I plan to take a quarter break and begin my Masters program when I have the BS. I have never been in trouble with the law. I believe in honesty and compassion. My children are honor roll students and good people. My oldest wants to be a scientist. My daughter wants to be a rock star, an olympic swimmer and the President. My youngest wants to be a superhero. lol. My life isnt horrible, but at times its hard. I am trying with everything in me to fix past mistakes and build a better life for my children. One day, I will be Dr. 'whatever'. If this auction sells, I will live up to my promises; if it doesnt, I will laugh and shrug and go on. I bought a house last year.. just a townhouse, but Im proud of it and how far we've come.
To all who view this, whether you wish us well or think I'm an idiot.. Cherish what you have.. be kind and help others.. and never stop striving towards your dreams. :) If you never try, you wont fail, but neither will you ever succeed.
